Free Home Repair Advice
Everyone seems to like to free legal advice on Thursday so I am going to try to add one more. Bob and Jim are two home repair gurus located in Helena and they volunteered to answer question for readers. For example, why doesn't this socket work, or how do you repair a rotten front door (yep, a lot of us had had that problem). I asked both of them if they would be interested and they both said yes. So you have the experience of two guys.
Here's how it will work. You email them your question. They will email me the question and their advice and I will post each Wednesday (we will not post your name). That way everyone benefits from the answer. So get your question and email them:

Couple on a Mission
Ryan and Dawn Draiss of Helena will be going on a mission trip. It is a short-term medical Expedition led by e3 Partners ministry to Huaral, Peru on May 25, 2012. Their team, comprised of missionaries including medical and dental professionals, will be building new churches and providing medical care to those who can not afforded it. Here is their request from the community.
"We are most humbly requesting a couple things. First, please commit to praying for us, as well as our team, as we embark on the journey God has planned for us. God works in amazing ways when His people pray. We are making ourselves available to be used by God, though we desire a team of people to take part in this ministry with us. Second, we are asking that you consider investing in the ministry by helping send us. The total cost for this e3 Expedition is $2400.00/person so we must have $4800.00 in order to embark on this journey. The majority of our funds will be due by the end of March. If you would like to help minister by sending our team, please make your check payable to:
e3 Medical Mobilization Center1400 Urban Center Drive, Suite 115Vestavia Hills, AL 35242**Your check must have either Ryan Draiss/ PE12B or Dawn Draiss/ PE12B on the purpose line in order for your donation to be directed to our fund raising efforts. You may also go to either of our personal web pages and donate via credit or debit card. The links are as follows:
All gifts are tax deductible and e3 Partners will send you a receipt. The Lord is truly amazing in the way he works. This is something we can’t possibly do with our own strength; only the Lord can make it all come together and for that, the Lord shall have all the glory! We can’t thank you enough for joining us in prayer and support".
Papa Saia's Update
I spoke to the store manager. She said they will have karaoke on Weds and the Grand opening will be around St Patrick day Weekend. Also the first band is April 20th for the deck outside. Of course all of theses are tentative because they could change things around.
Two people have asked me how many points have I been earning from the Recyclebank program. They were curious if there was a big difference between neighbors. I received 70 points for the week of March 2nd and a total of 3330 points since the program started but I have missed a pickup or two during the holidays. Is that similar to your?
Pet Foster Home
Jennifer Nolan wanted to see if anyone could help. Here's what she said:
"Is there anyone in the Birmingham area who could foster this sweet female red tick hound? She was found Monday morning by South Shades Crest Road. She looks to have an owner because she is well kept... but no collar and no microchip. She has had puppies before, but isn't currently carrying any or nursing. Please email Leslie Behringer if you can help - email@example.com .Leslie is going out of the COUNTRY tomorrow, and has to find her a place to go before then... or she will be taken to a SHELTER! Not good".
