Vincent Middle-High Students Serve Community | Community Spirit
Title (Max 100 Characters)
Five students from Vincent Middle-High School recently participated in a service learning project in cooperation with the Lallouise Florey McGraw Public Library, the Vincent First Baptist Preschool, and the President of the Shelby County Beekeepers Association, Margie Robertson.
Nathan Fernandez, Gabbie Scott, Charity Robertson, Courtney Macon, and Noemi Lizarraga were selected to assist with the public library’s early learning program.
The students were selected to participate in the project based on their commitment to the VMHS peer helper program. Mrs. Deason, Media Specialist at VMHS, supervised the project at the public library where the students were able to assist with a presentation on bees and bee safety. The students gained a new understanding of beekeeping and a new appreciation for serving others.
