How to find or provide disaster relief
How to find or provide disaster relief

The road to recovery for Alabamians affected by the April 27 tornadoes may be long, but the list of people who want to help out in the disaster relief efforts is just as lengthy. We've been overwhelmed with the amount of phone calls, emails, Tweets and Facebook postings about ways folks are wanting to help out their neighbors who have been affected by the storms. We're still  in the process of organizing all of the info our viewers have sent in, and to help make things a little easier we've divided it up by region into three separate lists of ways people can find help and provide help to those in need.

East Alabama: how to find or provide disaster relief

  • covers the needs and relief efforts in Calhoun, Cherokee, Clay, Coosa, Etowah, Talladega, and St. Claircounties.

Central Alabama: how to find or provide disaster relief

  • covers the needs and relief efforts in Bibb, Blount, Chilton, Cullman, Jefferson and Shelby counties.

West Alabama: how to find or provide disaster relief

  • covers the needs and relief efforts in Fayette, Greene, Hale, Marion, Pickens, Tuscaloosa, Walker and Winston counties.
