Grand Champions
Congrats to the ACE Mohicans. Who are now the  Level 3 Grand Champions!

Food Drive
The Cub Scouts have place grocery bags on houses this weekend. It is  for Helena's Cub Scout Pack 532 annual Scouting for Food drive.. They will be canvasing the neighborhoods in Helena and distributing empty grocery bags.

All you have to do is put in canned or nonperishable goods and leave them by your mailbox on Sunday March 10 between 2-4 and the Scouts will swing back through and pick them up! This benefits the Salvation Army.

Read America
Helena Elementary invited people from around the community. Mayor Hall read for Mrs.Christin Brown's First Grade Class. I was able to read for Mrs. Andrea Burk's class and Councilwoman Leslie Barlett read for Millers 1st grade and Mrs. Waldrons Kindergarten class. Before I read, I was able to sit down and chat with the librarians who knew a lot about Helena History. For example, the depot used to be in Mrs Burk's grandparents backyard and their bicycle hangs in the Depot Ceiling.  My favorite event was when, parent and HMS Librarian, Patti Dodson read to the students from Seagrove Beach, FL. She used an Apple Ipad and read to the students via the Internet Live while another teacher held the receiving ipad. See below:
