Adult Supervision
 My wife is currently in Italy which is a bad thing because I really need her. Not to do things for me but prevent me from doing things. Luckily, Day 1 has gone off without a hitch because there was left over pizza in the fridge so the children were fed.

Reminder: I will be out of town Saturday to Monday (no one rob my house) but I am recruiting the best of the best of Helena bloggers to post during that period. Helena Huskies 10 year old travel ball team took 2nd place in the Winter Countdown Baseball tournament this weekend at Veterans Park. Special Session
On Tuesday the Helena City Council will have a special at 11:30am. The items on the agenda will be chosen an editor/publish for the Helena News letter. Also Authorize the Mayor to make an agreement with Alabama Communities of Excellence. We won't see instant results with this but we are planning long term. Finally we need the Mayor to renew.execute an agreement for IT support for the City of Helena facilities.

Pelham Hoover and Helena Band
Pelham Council President Rick Hayes called for Pelham, Hoover and Helena to “band together to get that (Shelby County 261) project pushed back up the list.” We also call the project, the Helena Bypass. It is part of a larger program that would also widen Hwy 31 to allow quicker access to the interstate and relieve rush hour traffic. I am all for it. The Helena bypass (261) alone would not speed up commutes for Helenites but done in conjunction to the widen all the way to the interstate would make a different to commuters from all three cities. Right the project has been pushed to the back but I think if all three city governments press for it then we could restart it again.Full Article
