Police: Missing man’s car abandoned in Pelham

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC)- Birmingham police are asking for the public's help in finding a missing man whose car was discovered in Shelby County.

Police say Michael Ray Harris, 50, was last seen by his family on Wednesday, Jan. 2, driving his gray 2005 Mercury Sable. The vehicle was found abandoned in the Pelham area, Sgt. Johnny Williams said.

According to police, Harris has a sleeping condition and takes medicine to treat epileptic seizures. He's described as a black male, 5'8" tall, 110 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.

Anyone with information about Harris' location is asked to call Birmingham police at 205-297-8420 or Crime Stoppers at 205-254-7777.
