BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC)- A missing man who police say took medicine for epilepsy has been found, thanks to the kindness of a stranger.

Birmingham police report that Michael Ray Harris, 50, is in good condition and recuperating at Brookwood Hospital.

Sgt. Johnny Williams says a Good Samaritan noticed Harris "had difficulty walking on the side of the road." The person took Harris to a shelter, and workers at the shelter transported him to the hospital for treatment.

Police say Harris had a seizure and became disoriented at some point on Jan. 2, the same day his family reported him missing. His car was found abandoned in the Pelham area.
