Donation jar set out for family who lost everything in recent house fire

Helena blogger Hewy has let us know at FOX6 News that some community memebers have set up a collection jar and organized a way to donate clothing items to Daniel Johns' family, who lost not only their home but everything inside this week in a fire.

Hewy says there is a donation jar set up at the Helena Chevron in front of the Publix. Cash, checks and even gift cards are welcome. In addition, he writes on his blog:

A lot of you have asked how they can help the John family whose home burned down on Ruffin Road. The article said the historic home was uninsured,.Caroline Willmon posted that the,“little boy wears a size 8 pants and a medium shirt and the little girl wears small shirt and 6x pants. Their teacher said you can bring items to HES and the guidance counselor will get stuff to family. Their mom wears size 17 pants and Xl shirts and 8 1/2 shoes; dad wears 44/30 pants and Xxl shirts and 10  1/2 shoes. The little boy wears 2 1/2 shoes and his sister wears 12 shoes”.
