Heavy rains causing flash flooding in Alabaster, Montevallo, Helena and other Shelby County cities around noon on Wednesday.

Alabaster mayor David Frings says several areas near the creek are prone to flooding, but today other areas around the city that don't normally flood were underwater. The mayor said no injuries had been reported, and that if anyone gets stuck in the floodwaters to call 911 and the city would send help.

Shelby County is under a flash flood warning until 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 18.
